A municipal elected official from Pithiviers (Loiret) was dismissed at the end of 2023 by another local authority: the Lo departmental council. A mother, raising her children alone, rejected the three available positions in Orléans - corresponding "to her grade" - offered by her employer.
Not having a driving license, she felt that it would be difficult for her to make the 60 km journey between her home and the regional capital every day. Three judges in plenary session will examine this case again in the next two years.
