Double murder in the Cévennes: 30 years required against the accused, including 20 years of security. Valentin Marcone is on trial for having shot dead his boss and a colleague in May 2021 at the Plantiers sawmill, in the heart of the Cevennes.

The Advocate General considered that premeditation was not established and that it was therefore not a question of assassinations, but only of murders committed concomitantly. He also considered that ValentinMarcone’s discernment was “impaired” at the time of the events.
