The Haifa Magistrate's Court ruled that the policeman who shot Salomon Teka was acquitted of the charge of causing death by negligence. Judge Falah said that the testimonies of the boys who were with Teka are not reliable.

The judge repeated the claims of the police officer, and claimed that he did not intend to kill him. The death of 18-year-old Teke, which occurred in June 2019, ignited a protest by Ethiopians across the country against the police violence directed at them.
