Ramez Odeh, Coutier's 20-year-old nephew, was shot dead in the lobby of a hotel in the town of Beit Vezen. According to evidence, he was injured in front of the hotel guests.
Despite his young age, Ramaz was very close to Cotier and was considered number 2 in the crime organization. In the recent past, he served a long prison term for committing shooting offenses and threats. The Israel Police were informed of the incident and opened an investigation into the case.
