A young girl was the victim of rape and sexual assault by around ten men, all minors. Seven were arrested and placed in pre-trial detention.
The investigation, first opened for burglary, was extended to rape when the victim explained to her relatives what had happened to her. In this context, a judicial investigation was opened for "rape in a meeting," Le Figaro reports. The victim was raped and attacked at her home in Bron, in October 2023, by around 10 minor boys. The latter went to the victim's home where they allegedly forced him to have sexual relations. They also allegedly stole several items. The Lyon prosecutor’s office told us that the investigation is continuing under the authority of an investigating judge, and that seven of the suspects were arrested on April 5. “Seven of them were placed inPre-trial Detention and one of them was placed under judicial supervision,” the Lyon prosecutor's office said in a statement. The case is still under investigation.
