Emilia-Romagna is moving forward on the end of life and strengthening the resolution with which it establishes that it is the Regional Committee for Clinical Ethics (Corec) that gives an opinion on requests for medically assisted suicide by those in pre-existing conditions. The Council approved an ad hoc supplementary act which explains this.
The Territorial Ethics Committees (CET) recalled by the National Bioethics Committee are not a necessary choice "where specific bodies for clinical ethics exist", explains the Region.
