28 municipalities divided into 10 regions, characterized by a significant material and immaterial heritage of the Middle Ages. The medieval cities that are part of the network are Pistoia, Prato, Fucecchio, Calenzano, Volterra, Incisa Scapaccino, Ariano Irpino, Fermo, Monteriggioni, Serravalle Pistoiese, San Gimignano.
