The staff residential building (PWG) next to the clinic in Erding is in need of renovation. Four renovation options were presented to the hospital committee yesterday.
A decision has not yet been made. The PWG was built in 1973 together with the district hospital on Bajuwarenstrasse. In addition to doctor's practices and clinic offices, it currently houses 121 one-room apartments and two larger apartments under the roof.. The building structure is dilapidated, this also applies to floor coverings, room furnishings and roof seals. The ventilation has already been deactivated. An infestation was last detected in the PWG in 2022 (we reported). “We are currently using filters,” assured Matthias Huber, from the district office's property management. “The problems can only be solved by completely replacing the building’s technical system,’ he says. The problem of where the residents and offices will be accommodated - for example in containers - must be solved.
