Franck Marlin, the mayor (LR) of Étampes, was placed in police custody this Wednesday, February 28 in the premises of the Versail judicial police. The 59-year-old elected official has been interviewed since the end of the afternoon by police officers from the economic and financial affairs division.
He is accused of having unduly received sums of public money during his mandate. His custody can last up to 48 hours, if the prosecution decides to extend the hearings.
