[HIGHLIGHTS] EU: LR will oppose a second term for von der Leyen at the head of the European Commission

LR MEPs who would be elected in June will oppose a second term for Ursula von der Leyen at the head of the European Commission. Head of the LR list in the European elections, François-Xavier Bellamy, declared that Ursula de Leyen's first results were “not up to par” with Europe's expectations.

The European elections will lead to a renewal of the heads of the main EU institutions, including that of the Commission, which must reflect political balance resulting from the vote.
