EU Commission lowers economic forecast: Germany remains at the bottom of the eurozone countries. Geopolitical tensions could have further implications.

Of the 27 EU states, only Sweden is behind Germany with 0.2 percent growth forecast. For the Eurozone, the authority is now forecasting growth of 0.8 percent for the current year (autumn: 1. 2 percent) For Germany, the Commission continues to expect an increase of 1.2percent for the coming year. According to estimates, the economy in the Federal Republic will grow by 0.3 percent this year.
