Gian Piero Gasperini's Atalanta take on Liverpool in the Europa League quarter-finals. The second leg of the quarter-final is played at Anfield on 18 April.

The Nerazzurri are coming off the back of a double defeat in Florence in the semi-final of the Italian Cup and in Cagliari in the championship. The match will be played from 9pm local time (9pm Italian time) on Thursday night, with 2,140 Atalanna fans in the away sector of the ground. The game will also be played in front of a crowd of 2,000 in Bergamo, despite the anti-Covid-19 restrictions in place three and a half years ago, the pandemic paid for by Bergamo and the province with more than 6 thousand victims. The first leg was won 5-0 by Liverpool in Anfield on 3 November 2020. The return leg will take place on the 25th at Anfield, with the first leg taking place at the San Siro.
