The European regulation on the restoration of nature, which opened the rebellion in 2023 against the European ‘green deal’, has not yet been saved. It was Berlin which recently stood out with a last-minute no vote on the duty of vigilance - imposed on businesses - considered harmful to competitiveness.
This time, the rebellion came from Hungary, which said on Friday that it could no longer support the “restoration” text, although it was approved in December with the European Parliament.
