Europol identifies 821 “high risk” criminal networks in the EU. The agency presents in Brussels the first map of criminal organizations in Europe, an “x-ray” of crime to improve the fight against mafias.

“You need a network to fight a network,” said the Belgian Minister of the Interior, Annelies Verlinden, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the EU this semester. The report, the first and most complete of its kind, has been prepared by a group of experts and analysts.
