The Protestant parish of Bad Tölz is planning a high-profile project about artist Hubert Distler. It is intended to be “a reflection of the once thriving arts and music scene in the community” Distler designed over 300 churches and left behind around 4,000 works of fine art in various techniques.

There will also be a meeting this Sunday (April 13th) in which a representative of the regional church will comment on the matter surrounding the deposed dean Heinrich Soffel. The aim of the project is to continue this era “with a good team of passion and full of passion for the cause,” says the parish. The city will support the project financially, and the historical association wants to hold a lecture at the finissage in the city museum. The event will take place on November 23rd and 24th under the title “Wanderer Between the Worlds”. It will also include a concert in the Johanneskirche, to mark the opening of the exhibition.
