Evo Morales has broken with Álvaro García Linera, his second in the Movement towards Socialism. The former Bolivian president calls the person who was his right-hand man for more than a decade an “enemy” Morales has declared to EL PAÍS that they have “structural differences on how to continue the process” that they led together.
Morales stated that he “knew [in advance] of the coup” d'état that determined the fall of both leaders in November 2019.
