Maria Montell was in a relationship with King Frederik of Denmark in the late 1990s. Montell says she felt judged by people she didn't even know.
She had to go to a psychologist after the relationship ended. Now Montell is married to the film director Tomas Villum Jensen and they have three children. She says Frederik was not a child of sadness and was always looking for true love.. Three years before Frederik met Queen Mary, he lived with someone else.. Frederik also had his difficulties as crown prince and sought psychological help. But the reason could not have been his ex-girlfriend, says Montell, who is now a mother-of-three..
