The plane was used as a plane for pilot training by a private company in the 70s. It was returned to the children's hospital to be renovated.
The plane was painted blue and white, with a Star of David in the tail, similar to El Al planes. The work was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but has now been completed. It is now ready to be used by the children again, and will be on display at the hospital for the next few weeks.
