Small and large Nuremberg breweries have agreed a settlement in a long-running dispute over the "original" red beer. The "Tucher" brand will no longer be allowed to claim that it is produced in the same way as the "old" style.
The agreement was reached by the city's mayor and the head of the city council, who had been at odds over the issue for more than a decade. The settlement is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
