The group known as "Reich Citizens" around Henry XIII is accused by the German public prosecutor's office of preparing to commit high treason. According to the Federal Prosecutor's Office, the organization intended to use an armed group to break into the Reichstag building in Berlin.

There were then plans to court-martial apparently undesirable public figures. The people mentioned by name are said to include politicians such as Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and CDU chairman Friedrich Merz, but also the two TV presenters Markus Lanz and Sandra Maischberger. There are nine people in total. In the main hearing at the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court, it is primarily the suspected ringleaders who are charged, including nine people. All other defendants will have to answer in another trial in Munich, which is scheduled to begin in June. The alleged "Reich Citizens" group, as a suspected terrorist organization, intended to establish a terrorist organization. Even the possibility of an execution is said to have been explicitly mentioned.
