Violent crime in public spaces in Baden-Württemberg has recently grown enormously. The number of offenses in this area rose by 12.3 percent to 10,101 cases last year.
Violent crime includes many serious crimes such as grievous bodily harm, robbery, rape, manslaughter and murder. The last time there were this many cases was in 2016. There were more violent crime cases nationwide than in 15 years. The police pay particular attention to preventing, prosecuting and solving such crimes.
