In his first 100 days as president of Argentina, Javier Milei has dealt blows to the old economic model to tear it down and found a new one. In the new Argentina there is no place for fiscal deficit, no matter where it is cut to achieve it: in his case the scissors have been passed on to retirements, public works and social aid.

“If it were up to me, I would privatize everything,” he repeated in his last interview. Milei reached the Presidency after just two years of being the only deputy of an incipient far-right.
