A 65-year-old skier suffered fatal injuries in an accident in Oberstdorf in Oberallgäu, Swabia. He was out with friends on the Fellhorn when he fell on the slopes because of a large chunk of snow. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, the man died from his injuries at the scene of the accident. His partner had reported the man, who had set out on a mountain tour at Riesenkopf, missing.
