Falling over chunks of snow on the slope: man dies after skiing accident in Bavaria. Fog had reduced visibility.
A 65-year-old skier suffered fatal injuries in an accident in Oberstdorf in Oberallgäu, Swabia. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, the man died from his injuries at the scene of the accident. He was out with friends in the Fellhorn ski area when he fell on the slopes because of a large chunk of snow. He had set out on a mountain tour at Riesenkopf and was eventually found dead.
