Crocodile was found at the foot of the old bridge of Bergerac, in the Dordogne. A dozen people, including divers, went to the scene shortly after 16:00.
A specimen of more than two meters perfectly imitated the morphology of the crocodile. The animal was later found to be a fake, and the bridge was closed to the public for a few hours until it could be removed from the water. It is not known if the man who found the animal is still alive.
