A 20-year-old man died after falling under a moving carnival float in St. Goarshausen near Koblenz.
The young man from the Rhein-Lahn district died from his injuries in hospital. It is still unclear how the incident occurred after the move, the police said. The accident site on federal highway 42 will remain closed until the police have completed the documentation. Pedestrians could avoid the closure along the Rhine, cars should bypass the closure.
