Fatal traffic accident in Mittenwald: 72-year-old Tyrolean woman dies at the scene of the accident. A woman, 72, was on her way back to Tyrol in her car at around 4:11 p.m.
She crossed into oncoming traffic on federal highway 2 and collided head-on with the car of a man, 40, from Zusmarshausen. Both vehicles had to be towed. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen police station has begun an investigation into the cause of the crash.
