Federico Delbonis retired from tennis after 17 years. The Azuleño sealed Argentina's victory in the 2016 Davis Cup final.

The 33-year-old played his last singles match in mid-October at the Santa Fe Challenger. "I made a healthy decision and with each passing day, I become more convinced that it was the right one," he said. "I don't feel like a hero for having won the last point in the Davis Cup", he added.
