Federico Delbonis announced his retirement from tennis on his social networks. The 33-year-old won two ATP titles and was the last champion still active.
He was in charge of playing the fifth point of the final against Croatia in 2016. Delbo defeated the giant Ivo Karlovic 6-3, 6-4 and 6-2 and sealed the 3-2 win for Argentina in Zagreb. He played his last match in November of last year at the Santa Fe Challenger.
