Fight against body and nature: Five Ammertalers reach the finish line in the toughest race in the world in Sweden. Two professionals from Sweden and Norway were among the podium places.

The Nordenskiöldsloppet is the world's longest cross-country skiing race at 220 kilometers. Some athletes apparently couldn't stand the drudgery and even resorted to having a laugh and giving up due to lack of strength. The local hero came out on top with a time of 12.02 hours and 4.9 seconds.
