The Finns Käärijä started the hostilities by interpreting their title Cha cha cha. The gothic group representing Germany, Lord of the Lost, to present its song Blood & Glitter. The Croatian punk band MamaŠČ! chose the song Let 3 to represent their country at Eurovision.
