The forest fire near Jüterbog continues to spread. Firefighting planes that took off on Thursday and Friday are no longer in use.
The fire broke out on Wednesday evening at the former military training area. The emergency services are still unable to reach the fire sites in the forest because the risk of explosion is too great. "There is ammunition everywhere in the area, and we don't know where," says the forest fire protection officer of the state of Brandenburg, Raimund Engel.
