Accident occurred on the A1 Milan-Naples at km 357, between the Arezzo and Valdarno toll booths. The firefighters on site have already put out the fire and the area is being cleaned up.

The stretch between Arezzo-Valdarno remains closed in both directions. "Within the closed section, traffic is blocked with 11 km of queues towards Rome and 5km of queues at the mandatory Valdarna exit," says Autostrade per l'Italia. For long distances, the advice is to exit at Valdichiana, take the Siena-Bettolle SS326 connection towards SienA and return to the motorway at Firenze Impruneta. The driver, unharmed, got out on his own before the vehicle caught fire. The mechanical emergency services, the firefighters, the traffic police and the staff of the Autostade per l’Italia 4th Florence corps intervened at the scene of the event.
