EDF plans to connect Flamanville EPR to national network in summer of 2024. If connected this summer, this nuclear reactor will inject electricity into the national grid twelve years behind schedule.

EDF had previously counted on a connection “mid-2024” until the announcement on Tuesday by the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN, nuclear policeman) according to which fuel loading was postponed until mid-April at best. The announcement was made in a press release on Wednesday by the ASN.
