In Villeneuve-le-Roi, “strategic” streets are being raised to be “resilient” in the face of floods. The roadway is raised and valleys are created on two axes identified as strategic, Raoul-Delattre and Voie de Seine.

The MGP announces that it is considering duplicating this type of work in other flood-prone sectors and towns after the Villeneuvois test. If the river ever bursts its banks again, as in 2016 and 2018, authorities will not seek to evacuate the inhabitants at all costs.
