Flor Borelli made history in Seville: South American marathon record and ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The woman from Mar del Plata set the clocks at 2 hours, 24 minutes and 19 seconds in the test held in Spain.

She took ninth place in the classification in one of the strongest races on the world circuit. Among the men, the winner in women was the Ethiopian Azmera Gebru Habro (2h22m13), with the Kenyans Josephine Chepkoech and Magdalyne Masai on the other two steps of the podium.
