Former National Rifle Association leader must pay more than $4 million for wasting organization funds. The New York jury found that Wayne LaPierre, who was executive director of the NRA for three decades, wasted millions of dollars of the group's money on expensive benefits for himself.

LaPierre sat stone-faced in the front row of the courtroom as the verdict was read aloud. Jurors ordered LaPierre to pay over $4.3 million in restitution. NRA general counsel John Frazer and retired finance chief Wilson Phillips were also charged in the case.
