Frankfurt is happy about a new EU authority. The city announced that the EU's new anti-money laundering authority, the so-called Amla (Anti-Money Laundering Authority), would create at least 400 new jobs in Frankfurt.

Amla should begin its operational work in combating money laundering by the beginning of 2025 at the latest, it was said. Germany's bid for the seat won against eight European capitals. These included Paris and Dublin, two other top financial centers in Europe.
