Freiburg sees the Chancellor's visit as a signal. In other cities, too, new neighborhoods are being built in the fight against the housing shortage.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz wants to come to the groundbreaking ceremony. The new district is to be built largely in the Dietenbach forest, which will soon give way to a new development area. The district will offer around 7,000 apartments with a climate-neutral climate. It could help stabilize the construction industry and at the same time defend Freiburg.
