French health data: hosting at Microsoft is controversial. For the first time in France, the CNIL had to make an exception to its rules, despite the risk that this sensitive data could be seized by the United States.
The CNIL has given the green light to the creation of a health data warehouse of French and European citizens which will be hosted on the cloud infrastructures of the American Microsoft. This decision responded to a request for authorization - mandatory - which was made last August by the Health Data Hub.
