Former striker Robinho was sentenced to nine years in prison for a crime of sexual abuse committed in 2013 in Italy. He was housed in a "VIP prison" away from prisoners who can attack other convicts.

After his first ten days of confinement, it was reported that he left the state of isolation and shares an eight-square-meter cell with another detainee. The former player, who emerged in Santos, was sentenced in three instances of the Italian Justice, to nine year in prison, for the rape of an Albanian woman.
