Mamdouh Assan, 37 years old, of Egyptian origin, arrived in Italy two and a half years ago. Until a few months ago he lived on the streets and slept in the station in Reggio Emilia.
His turning point came after obtaining a trial period with a plasterboard company in Sassuolo, in the Modena area. Today he lends a hand to the 'La Nuova Luce' association which takes care of the homeless, distributing food and blankets for the night.
