The novel 'The Girls of the Naranjel' presents a fictional chronicle of the experiences of the Spanish nun Catalina de Erauso, dressed and transformed into a man to participate in the European colonization in Latin America. Gabriela Cabezón Cámara is a fierce activist, feminist and socio-environmentalist.
She is the author of the graphic novel Dressed God's Face and The Adventures of China (the English version of which was nominated to the International Booker Prize)
