Gasoline prices are expected to increase in June, but at a lower rate than expected. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich signed orders to reduce the tax on gasoline during June 2023.

As a result of the reduction, the price of a liter of gasoline per consumer for June is expected to increased by only about 4 agorot, to NIS 6.85. The order will expire at midnight between July 1 and 2. The orders stipulate that gasoline will be subject to purchase tax and excise tax at a rate of NIS 2,915.68 per 50,<> liters.
