People with lower net household incomes are most affected by price changes in their habits. People prefer to eat at home because they can no longer afford to go to restaurants. The higher VAT is a big challenge for companies, says the director of the industry association DEHOGA. Ingrid Hartges: “Tax fairness looks different, different traffic light looks different.”
