Israeli forces stormed Al-Amal hospital in Khan Younes, in the south of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army confirmed to AFP that its troops had launched a search operation in the hospital.
The hospital found itself in the middle of fighting between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters, in power in Gaza since 2007. There are no longer any hospitals operating normally in the Gaza strip, the United Nations said on Wednesday, and just over a third continue to operate slowly. The Hamas attack in Israel on October 7 resulted in the deaths of more than 1,160 people, the majority civilians.
