Genoa shows solidarity with Baltimore over bridge collapse. Genoa city council on Tuesday expressed "its deepest solidarity" with the victims of Monday's Baltimore Bridge collapse.
Also in light of the collapse of the Morandi road bridge in the Ligurian regional capital in August 2018 in which 43 people died. Two people survived the accident and 20 including workmen carrying out road repairs on the bridge and people in vehicles are said to be missing. The Morandi bridge over the Polcevera river in Genoa collapsed on August 14, 2018 amid claims it had been unsafe.
