Germany's largest airport is fighting against the plague of mice: 5,000 traps are supposed to kill the rodents. Since the mice are regularly filmed by passengers during their activities, they even make it onto the Internet.

According to the Federal Environment Agency, mice can transmit diseases such as salmonella, typhus and Weil's jaundice to humans. In addition to the health risks of a pest infestation, the economic ones should not be underestimated, as mice can cause short circuits and fires.
