Staff at Milan's Bicocca University can take their pets to work with them from Monday. Professors, lecturers, researchers and technical and administrative staff as well as librarians are being allowed to bring their dogs, cats and other pets.

The pets must have an ID microchip, be enrolled on the national pet archive, have their vaccination and anti-parasite certificates, and have insurance against damaging persons or property. But pets won't be allowed in areas having to do with the public.
