Gianluigi Giovetti was born and studied in Modena, where in 1947 he graduated in chemistry. Due to bureaucracy, he goes back to his daily life, his laboratory practice, which is essential for passing the last exam, had not been recognised. It was 1949 and he had been working in the family pharmacy, the historic Sant'Omobono.
